Scottish serial killer series

Has anyone watched "The Loch"? No spoiler please, watching last episode tonight. Blimey, it's chilling. None of that murder non-sense where I come from!

Still, it's nice to hear a Scottish accent on a popular TV series, for a change. Although the French version on Swiss TV looses the charm of it!!

Was rubbish. Shetland was much better, so was their accent.

Would you recommend it? What is it, death of goose up at Rowardennan?

I lost interest in The Loch after a couple of episodes.

Very easy to get stuck into Shetland, it's excellent.

I watched reruns of Tagart and Rebus lately, but I guess The Loch won't be my next one from what you're all saying...shame.

Not seen that one. Might order it, sounds good. The Loch was perfect with a Scottish beer and a take away, especially last night with all the thunderstorm we had in Geneva. I never said it was a prize for top acting, but it served the purpose and the scenery photography is gorgeous.

They're posh toffs, ignore them!

I found way more beautiful sceneries in Shetland. Also, in a few episodes (season 2?) there's some views in Glasgow and around.

I found characters more genuine and interesting in Shetlands, same as for the story.

The Loch felt like a dumb story in a dumb shitland. As for the plot, it was obvious that Nessy was the killer all along, but he went into hidding and they never saw him again. Only japanese tourists heard from him.

Oh not quite but it was unpleasant, actually I remembered how disappointed I was about the whole serie and how it was not not rewarding that region, unlike Shetlands.

If you get a chance to see Zone Blanche, French thriller/mystery on Swiss TV, don't miss it. It's excellent.. just finished watching it.

Beautifully shot and great story.. quite dark and eerie.

I'll tell you how desperately homesick I was when I lived in Merica...I used to watch subtitled Monarch of The Glen (!!!) just to hear the accents, see the kilts, castles, lochs, glens, munros, heather and green countryside...I ended up hooked on it, like a jeky.

I'll ignore the toffs then, thanks McT!

Oi! I am not posh, I'm Irish

If you're from Dublin, nowadays you're posh!

South Dublin is very grand..

But alas, I'm from the back arse of Tipperary

Wee dram for me then, as I had found out who' d done it in last episode. Confirmed today. McPoirot, they call me now!
