Selling price of Human Hair

Hello there,

I am having a plan to start business in hair dressing field. I got a contact with few countries where they have shown interest in selling human hair(length starts from 50 cm - 60 cm).

Now I would like to set-up the price per Kg. To be frank I have no idea how I could arrive this figure. If anybody in this field know the price/Kg, then could you please let me know.

It would help to analyse myself whether this business will work out for me.

No idea but I assume it would depend on length, wouldn't it, since you can't glue two 60cm wigs together to make a 120cm wig.

(that's assuming you want it for wigs, not some kind of love potion or something...)

I have been sending my hair to a charity for children with irreparable hair loss, called Locks for Love, they make wigs. They only get hair that is long, so I am not sure how it would work weight-wise?? Sorry I am no help..

I learn something everyday. I saw the thread title and thought it was going to be a cross between cannibalism and child trafficking.

I am amazed people sell hair.

Wouldn't the price also depend greatly on colour? The link was to an Indian supplier, and so I assume they are not offering all colours that may be in demand here.

Suppose usual supply and demand rules apply to hair as well.
