I was wondering if anyone else non-EU has been waiting on SEM or recently received a permit L? I was curious how long you waited/have been waiting? My permit L application is for medical treatment, and the application made within the country as I was already here visiting when we discovered I am ill.
5 months after applying, I had an interview with the Cantonal Migration office at the beginning of July and they said it was a positive decision for them, but they now have to pass it on to Bern.
Because my application is for medical treatment and I am not an EU citizen, I am not allowed to get the exit/reentry visa. So I cannot risk leaving Switzerland for even a short trip to wrap up things in my last place or to see family without the permit. That is why I am curious and eager to find out how much longer I can expect to wait?
