I’d heard this melody first as a child in a music box and then in various other places, but never investigated what it was or where it was from. I looked it up after your post and found this wonderful video of Stephen Sondheim teaching (and there are more such videos):

Yes, it is wonderful, though I couldn’t find more of her singing - just of her voice overs and acting. The recording is quite old and the actress was born in the 60s so she’s in her 60s now.
