Sending SBB ticket to another person/phone

Hi, I’ve done a search here and on the SHB site:

I want to buy a saver day ticket for my wife and I. We likely won’t be travelling together so I think we each need our own ticket on our SBB app. I’d like to buy her ticket and send it to her phone.

Can this be done and if so how?

Thanks

AFAIK you can set the phone number to send it to online (when you log in)

I certainly can’t see that option. It isn’t very clear.

Just her the screenshot of the barcode/ticket information.

You can order a ticket through e.g. the SBB app on your phone, change the name from yours to hers during the order process (it obviously takes your name as a default), and send her the email confirmation (which includes the ticket in PDF) and / or screenshot of the QR code.

Do you use the SBB app? I use it on my iPhone. I have my husbands’s info entered into my app....name, date of birth, his halb tax status.

Then I buy the ticket and put it into my wallet on the phone. There’s a little ‘i’ in a circle to the bottom right of the qr code. Tap the i and you get some boarding pass options, one of which is share pass. Tap that, enter her phone number and she will get the ticket in an sms.

She should be able to save it in her wallet too, or just use the image for the SBB guy. When I buy a ticket for my husband, he still has to present his halb tax card. When I buy a ticket for myself, all the info is on the phone.

Alternatively, sure, just print out the pdf and use that.

Now this is really strange.

I bought the saver ticket using my iPad. I can see the ticket there, but I can’t see the three dots that would let me save it to the Wallett.

On my iPhone I can’t see the ticket at all.

Is there something special about saver tickets?

There should not be anything special. That‘s odd. I stopped using my iPad to buy tickets because it was sometimes difficult to find the ticket. You should have it on your iPhone though. Somewhere. Check “my trips” upper right corner I think.

It’s also a bit weird since they forced a change to my swiss pass login.

Mystery,,

But I’ve got the email with the bar code, so I can use that from my phone.

Perhaps it is the iPad.

It does appear to be the iPad. Just bought the ticket (a saver day ticket in 1st for 66!) on the app on my phone. Put it in my wife’s name, transferred it to my wallet and shared it with her phone. Everything worked as it should. Thanks edot!
