Sharing vehicle to parents...

Hey, so I'm not really clear on what the rules are here about sharing my vehicle with my relatives while they are here on a visit. I guess it means I'm sharing my insurance, which could impact me if they have an accident. I see on comparis for example you can tick off "other drivers", so would that count?

So question is:

Can I lower my risk level in such a case (sure, if I don't share it, obviously)?

1. Your choice. Normally do vehicle insurances cover other driver, you can exclude this for a discount. If you do so, dont let others drive your car.

2. Sharing your vehicle can get tricky if they intend to cross borders... are they EU residents? If yes, dont let them drive a Swiss registered car into the EU or they can get themselves and you into surprisingly deep trouble.

1) ok, noted, I will discuss this with the offers I receive to make it clear

2) no, they are Canadian residents, though hold a EU passport also, but don't live in europe at this time

Then no problem.
