Shoe shop for children

Hi all,

I'm looking for a good shoe shop in Zurich for my daughter. I'm especially looking for a shop where they measure the size of the feet, preferably with a scan. And where they can give me good advise. My daughter is nearly two but started walking very late. When she is not wearing shoes she walks fine, but outside she seems to struggle a bit more. So I really need high quality shoes for her.

Thanks for your help!

I very much doubt that Dosenbach will give that kind of help

Walder is a bigger store in Zurich. The biggest one is at Migros City (in the same "mall" if you want to call it that). Used to be on the ground floor but check. This is were I would go I think. https://www.walder.ch/filialen/

I would recommend a brand like elephant as they offer good heel and ankle support and are well made and reasonably priced at around 40.- - 50.- They stock those at Dosenbach.

Of course you could go to a specialist child shoe shop, but they will rip you off with something thats not really any better.

Brands like Superfit, Primigi and Richter are very good and they can be found in Walder. Make sure you buy with softer soles that you can bend. I would above sports brand like Adidas or Puma unless they are flexible. Good toddler shoes from the brands above cost around 80 CHF or more if I remember correctly. Elefanten is a good brand at a lower price point if you cannot afford the brands above. You can find it in Ocshner shoes and Dosenbach.

this shop also has kids shoes

Thank you all!

We’ll go shoe hunting tomorrow...

I was told in the Netherlands that “elephante” used to be good and that everyone thinks they are good, while in reality they are nowadays produced in China and quality is highly variable...
