Hi, as I have mentioned before, I am on sick leave but hoping to get back on track as I am feeling better. I had been made redundant at my last employer and thus after I am off sick leave, I either go unemployed/RAV or I find a job. RAV told me that no matter how healthy you are, you must look for work 100% (for example, signed off 50% sick still means you look for work 100%). I may have an opportunity to work part-time but the wage is far lower than what I made before. It is a small step towards getting back in the workplace. Does the sickness allowance top up like the RAV would if the wage is far lower than what one gets on sick leave? I hope this makes sense.
ALK should top you up. RAV doesn't pay anyone anything.

I am wondering if the sick leave insurance tops up like the ALK does. RAV would still want me looking for work at 100% if I come off sick leave. I tried that once and it didn't work so well for me.
You might want to get in touch with your local IV office. One dept there is specifically concerned with this kind of situation. I forget the proper name of it now though. Otherwise talk to your RAV officer?
