Does anyone if its possible to sign off from RAV temporarily for 3 months during which no efforts will be made to find a job. at the same time, the person will not ask for any benefits from RAV during this 3 month period.
also, does it mean that the current Rahmfrist will be closed and a new one will be opened based on the last 6/12 months of earnings? it is clear that there will be no earnings in the last 3 months because of the break and hence will reduce the RAV benefits.
Yes, it's definitely Ok to "step out" for a while without drawing benefits.
What that means WRT to your next Rahmenfrist should be discussed with your RAV advisor. I don't think this will reduce the 12 month earning requirement though.

Also, as to the end date of your current one ... you can delay the start date of your withdrawals, and thereby shift its end date. But I don't know if you can interrupt it, if that's what you would want to do if possible (I wouldn't hang my hopes high). That might also be something to discuss with your advisor.
It is possible to de-register from RAV at any time. Kasse looks back up to three months and, if no job search efforts are made during this period, the OP would be penalized. To avoid penalties, the OP would need to continue searching for a job.
If the OP de-registers, no benefits would be paid.
The qualified period (Rahmenfrist) remains open for two years. During this period, it is possible to de-register and re-register.
As I recall, periods when there are no earnings are not considered by the Kasse when calculating insured earnings. The OP might wish to obtain confirmation of this.
