Signal loss on Swisscom TV

We've recently been experiencing signal loss on our Swisscom TV 2.0 box. It'll be fine at first, then the picture will pixellate then go to a black screen with a message along the lines "No TV signal is being detected" or something. The set-up is as follows:

Internet ->Swisscom internet box -> Patch panel (all in cellar)-> Switch -> TV box (in living room). A friend said the TV box has to be connected directly to the router, not via a switch, or it'll be problematic, but I'm not sure that's entirely correct.

Rebooting the TV box seems to be a temporary fix, but I'm wondering if it might not be a TV box fault and if anyone else has experienced it.

The bandwith seems to be fine, we don't have Fibre, but the dl speed is normally around 80-90 Mbps as measured on a Mac connected to the same switch.

Switch back to a Sat.

Have you tried a different switch?

Had the same problem a few months ago losing signal intermittently and Swisscom came and did all kind of tests. First the technician said it was the fibre not working properly and they did a fix centrally (no idea what they did). Problem still there and they finally replaced the box. All good so far. My TV box is connected directly to the router though.

My box is also directly connected to the router and I was having recurrent problems with the tv and internet over the last 4 months. I called and complained every single time it happened (instead of doing the reset first so they could log the problem), and eventually Swisscom sent me the newest box and router. Not sure of the version, but the box looks like my AppleTV and the router is a tower.

Since then, I've had not a single problem. And I'm sure Swisscom is glad to not hear from me any more

Also had a few problems, started a few weeks ago, but no switching off of the box so far, the pic suddenly stalls for a few seconds or gets coarsley pixelated and then moves on again...or my fave (NOT!)...the subs suddenly vanish or come to a standstill.

Really annyoing when you have to rely on them.

Glad to read, that it is no me alone having recent problems, will wait for a few days more and see whether it is getting better, before I cpmplain to Swisscom.
