Ski season 2022

do they require QR code to ski these days ?

I thought the answer to that was no.

I read an article earlier this week, that was one reason the ski areas were not happy with enforcing non EU visitors to pay to have their vaccination records compatible with the Swiss Covid Pass.

The Covid pass will be needed for dining, but was not needed for the slopes.

My understanding is that skiing this season will be carried out just like last season - masks in public transport and waiting for lifts. Dining, that remains to be clarified based on how events develop

Not yet determined. The Ski resorts decided to claim it will be the same as last year (presenting it as something already agreed), the BAG pulled them back and said it's not yet decided.

Ultimately the government decides, not the resorts so they were jumping the gun rather.

Decision has been taken

From Le Temps on 19th October:

Les remontées mécaniques suisses n’imposeront pas le passeport covid cet hiver. Seul le masque, dans les télécabines et les bâtiments, ainsi que la distanciation sociale seront obligatoires. Sauf si l’épidémie regagne de l’ampleur

Swiss ski installations will not impose the Covid Pass this winter. The mask will be required in telecabins and buildings, and min. social distance will be compulsory. Unless the epidemic becomes more virulent again.

And social distancing will be waived in all queues.

Nope. That’s exactly what I referred to. The BAG have clearly stated this in not the case, rather just what the resorts want. The BAG may (not will) require something else.

Apologies, I was only reporting what I had read in a newspaper yesterday.

It's not the future. Ski slopes in Zermatt, Engelberg and Saas-Fee are already open. Currently, the rules that apply to gondolas and chair lifts are the same as train and bus: wear a mask and that's it.

So, no requirement or certificate now. Of course things can go awry, but that's thinking about the future, not ski.

Any more word on certificates ?

Is it just masks only as last year ?

Itching to go skiing but no multi-pass

I am planning to go skiing asap, using resorts I know well, where I can use chairlifts and Pomas, and no cabins- off peak, weekdays.

Nothing new so far....
