skiing weekend ticket 20 percent off with coop supercard ticket

Does anyone know how this works<

any chance of taking advantage with a plain coop card?

merci!

Sorry, you do need a Supercard Ticket. It acts as a ski pass and gives you a 20% discount on day passes at quite a few resorts -- but not Zermatt , where I'm headed this weekend. Info in English here .

It also has some sort of application for concert tickets -- I haven't looked into that yet.

The Ticket card also acts like a normal Coop Supercard (you get points for your shopping, which you can use to get money off or to exchange for other goodies). It's free (I think) -- mine was when I got it, anyway), so no reason not to get it.

thanks it is free i order mine and the kids today but takes 2 weeks to arrive..

i am skiing in Saas Fee this weekend...although friends of mine are in Zermatt so might be up on Sunday...

supposed to be magic on Saturday!

hooray!

Yep, it's due to snow in Zermatt on Friday night, then blue skies till late Sunday when around 15 cm is expected -- brilliant for the weekend! (rubs hands with glee. And to keep warm, it'll be -15C on Saturday!)

Migros ticket-carte Cumulus currently gives 22% for Zermatt

I think the UBS debit card offer might still be running - buy one get one free on lift passes for certain resorts (including Zermatt) if you pay with a UBS debit card...worked last weekend for me

Here's the link

Thanks Daniel - that's brilliant.

Thanks Danieluk and Odile, that's great info ... for next time ... I just got back from my expensive weekend in Zermatt.

arrghh - this usually happens to me! Hope you enjoyed it. BTW what did you think of the ski area? I've never skied there- some of my friends just love it- others say that it is too 'bitty' and that separate ski areas do not link well.??

Going way off topic, but in a nutshell, Zermatt (the town) is really postcard-pretty (and very expensive); the Matterhorn dominates everything and is very impressive; the ski areas are all linked, you can ski easily between them (when all the lifts are open), including into Cervinia (in Italy); the runs are generally quite wide and uncrowded.

However -- and this is a big however, for me -- there are very few black runs and those that are black are usually because they get a few moguls carved into them after a while. Red runs would struggle to be classified blue elsewhere! In short, the runs aren't challenging. Off piste (especially around Klein Matterhorn) -- now that's another story, and a very good one at that.

this is a bit off topic but had lots of fun on the weekend

will also get the migros card *on topic!!!!

but racing skis don't work so well off piste..but are so fun early in the season
