Hi,
I have a SKY+ box and are using it FTA without any card for the available channels.
On channel 503 I have now lost BBC News 24 and I am wondering how I can get it back.
I have tried rebooting the box, via taking away the power and pressing the back-up button and after my cup of coffee and the reboot I still can not get BBC 24. Even manually letting it search on the new frequency of the channel does not seem to work...
Any suggestions??
I changed the title a bit. It should get a bit more traffic now.

I has disappeared from my FTA satellite receiver too. I havent had time to worry about it. Check the BBC website, maybe the have moved it.

Same happened to us - we lost the cable BBC. Now we pay 8 chf a month a have a digital decoder. Includes bbc1, bbc2 bbc 4, bbc world, bbc prime and bbc news 24. Really good value for money.
However this is through Yetnet.ch which is mainly in Kanton Aargau.
thanks have a nice easter great weather
thanks have a great weeekend
MIL had a similar problem with her box (not a Sky box), but when I did a full system re-scan, I found BBC News 24 had appeared way down at channel 1104 on her listings. I assume they have changed something in the way it is broadcast for logistical reasons and most boxes are clever enough to re-find the channels without prompting. So, all I can suggest is that you find the rescan menu and try from the beginning
Good luck
J
doubtless BBC News 24 moved to Astra 2D and is on a weak transponder. Either that or they ceased transmission.
so the channel no longer exists or your dish is badly lined up (Sky box) or you need to update (Sky box) or re-scan (like john).
