Slimline Tonic Water

Hi

Does anyone know where you can buy Slimline Schweppes Tonic Water in Zurich? I can only find the full sugar version. I can use that but with a couple of bottles of Bombay Saphire to get through my waist needs the diet version of tonic....

Hi

I don`t think they do slim line in Ch. I hope someone tells me I`m wrong

I'm about 90% positive I've seen diet tonic water (or tonic lite) in the markets before. Another solution, which I often use is to do half carbonated water and half Schweppes Indian tonic water with my Bombay. I personally like it better than the Diet Tonic Water.

OK - will try the water / tonic mix... I can count that as part of my 8 glasses of water a day....

do remember that, when you're tootling along in Italy in your campervan - that your gin is considerably cheaper in Italy

but they don't have diet tonic water as far as I've seen so you'll have to exercise a little to pay your dues

OK - I'll tell my other half that you have given me permission to hit all those shops to work off the calories

If only it was as easy to water down the bills as it is the gin.....

In le-shop.ch there is a link where you can request things the should stock - I've requested the slimline tonic

If anyone else wants to that might help them stock it - or anything else you think they are missing

If it's to mix with gin just try it with a little water as though it was a single malt - that was how they drank it in them days - admittedly a lot of them spent most of their time in the gutter but the purists still say it's the way to drink it.

Sharon, I've always had an eye out for slimline mixers and never had any luck. A couple of Irish lasses I know found some over the border in Germany but they've moved now. Soo let us know if you source some.

You can generally get the diet tonic in the French hypermarkets but I don't think that you can get them in the Swiss or German shops.

I think one problem is that the Schweppes drinks are made by Feldschlossen under licence and they don't see the demand for it. In France I believe it is actually a subsidiary of Cadbury Schweppes that make the drinks so you find a better range.

I think I've seen people on here running the Schweppes diet drinks past the folks that run Britshop, maybe that's another way to go.
