Smells like Summer?

I am cooking up a batch of strawberry and vanilla jam this afternoon, the whole house smells really wonderful and just like Summer.

Whats smells do you most identify with Summer?

Strawberries do it for me!! Yum, Yum!

Sweaty armpits in the city.

Freshly mowed lawns and the smell of barbeques.

Exactly....

And the baseball diamond also has a particular summer-like aroma

Tar paint used to preserve wooden fences; the smell of Roses in the evening - easy to know I spent an early childhood in London playing in gardens

Late spring smell that I love is lilacs, they're everywhere at the moment.

Good lord no, old boy. I was referring to the patch of grass between the wickets...

freshly ploughed fields and manure

No, Ms Grounder, no. Don't go there!

Suntan Lotion or cocoa butter on a woman's sun drenched peach fuzz skin, ocean breeze, and the taste of saltwater on my lips.

Damn, I wish you didn't ask and remind me.

Eh oui, the smells of summer ... sigh !!!

I lived through some very hot summers in Israel and found the heat brought forth the most amazing smells from plants, fruits and tractors and the hair on people's heads.

also the smell of a fresh t-shirt & short every morning was a real pleasure ...

and now I just need to go and take that sun in out there

Fresh cut grass, various Agricultural smells, and that particular dry peaty smell you get from bog streams in the summer.

Also, the smell of heather and the sea remind me of holidays.

And the smell of Cold Bulmers/Magners splashing over ice cubes in a pint glass, in a beer garden, surrounded by friendly, and scantily clad young ladies.

Ahhh, Summer. Easily the thirstiest season...

Whose shorts were you sniffing every morning, woman?

Also, that magical smell after a long period of hot sunshine when it belts down with rain. Luurvly.

The salty smell of the sea and the gentle lapping of the tide on the beach.

Not likely to get that here much.

The smell of rain just before a huge thunderstorm.

Fresh Strawberries we go to the local farm every weekend and pick them fresh yummy.

In Switzerland? Cow sh*t smell so strong it brings tears to your eyes.
