Snuggles won't eat his quinoa salad

So, in order to help my Uncle out of a tight spot, we've recently acquired a Bengal tiger. He's a handsome fellow, but he's gone right off his food for the last three weeks. We don't like bringing live game into the house (the last herd of impala we brought home made a terrible mess of the Persian rug) so we usually feed him quinoa salad, spelt muffins and kale, but recently he won't even eat that.

I feel so terribly sad, looking at him staring dolefully at his healthy bowl of vegan fare, so does anyone have any advice?

Thanking you in advance.

Eat it?

Have you considered cutting up the tiger and selling his testicles and eyelids to a rich Chinese person?

It may be a little messy so i would do it away from the Persian rug.

Time for you to make the big pet-lovers sacrifice DB; an arm or a leg?

Or maybe if he has been on vegan fare recently then just start him gently with one hand; or put your foot in it?

have you tried gluten free? or crystal healing? Hope he perks up soon....sending reiki

Add Italian dressing - the eggs in the Caesar dressing you tried on his quinoa salad a couple weeks back probably was viewed as a horrific attack on his lifestyle

Homeopathy. Cures everything or die trying.

Eat the bugger ..... just like they would back in God's Own Country.

(Ever seen 'Dinner for One'?)

Put him in the communal washing machine for a quick spin.

But don't forget to remove the lint once done or his friends will make sure to pay you a visit and bombard you with vegan cookbooks

I can see from your user name you are more of a dog person so you are behind the 8 ball from the start with a cat, albeit a big one.

Any cat person worth their weight in furballs will tell you, cats won't eat quinoa without tofu mixed in, preferably with some sitar music playing in the background at loud volume (sitar - India - Bengal) makes them feel at home. Occasionally you will need to give it a decent feed of red meat, the best way is to get one of your mates to dob you into Billag once a month, when they come around for the inspection send them to the cellar with Hello Kitty and 2 problems solved at once.

Wasn't there that goat-in-the-kitchen thread just a few months ago?

As long as he doesn't start getting very "bity". That's always a bit irritating.

God invented the basketball to help tigers thru the teething phase. The older leather ones work better, but aren't strictly vegan. The newer artificial ones have a larger carbon footprint. Carbon offsets make a great Valentine's gift.

I sympathise with you. Assimilation into Swiss culture does take time, especially for large carnivores. Ours went through exactly the same tricky phase. But try not to worry - it is just a phase that he's going through. In a few months you'll look back and wonder what all the fuss was about!

Is he OK with children?

However, if the Persian rug does get soiled, you've got a nice new tiger rug to replace it with.

Will you spare Snuggles now that he confided in you his real reason for hating your quinoa salad?

I see no mention of what you offered your pussy cat to drink with his meal. A glass or two of Chateau Yquem would have been just purrfect!

Shoot the bloody thing and get a new one, far cheaper than force feeding quinoa salad.
