Software Engineering Salary trends for 2022

Hi Software devs!

I was wondering what is the yearly average or tipical gross salary without bonus for a software engineer in Zurich with 7 years of experience (Java/C#) in a permanent role as of January 2022.

I've found a few posts about salaries for software developers here in the forum but most of them were for contracting positions and the others I found were from long ago(perhaps outdated?).

any contribution is appreciated and I hope this will help the software devs wanting to change job or accept and offer in 2022

Is Glasdoor that accurate ? There's also, somewhere, a government site giving out salary 'bands' per job type

In general this kind of calculators, glassdoor, levels.fyi and so on are great to get a rough estimation but they are not very accurate.

There're so many variables that it's very difficult to get the right value.

exactly @ipoddle I was looking for a more accurate info than what I can find in Glassdoor.

e.g. personal opinions based on experiences here in Zurich, I believe that being and working here for longer time gives one a better chance and info to estimate better what a salary for a software dev might be.
