Solar eclipse 12 August - possible to see partial eclipse in Switzerland

On 12 August, we will have a rare chance to see a partial solar eclipse in Switzerland.

The last time I saw a solar eclipse was in 1999 and I had to fly to Hungary to see it. This time, we can see a partial one in Switzerland or a total one in various countries if you’re willing to travel.

Yeah, saw an article on CNN about it.

The appropriate filters for cameras are sold out everywhere. No possibility to buy them with delivery before the eclipse.

We decided to have the second beach holidays this summer and watch a full eclipse, since it’s probably the last time in our lives when we have this possibility.

Google search will clarify.

I think Amazon.de still has filters, proper sunglasses for this type of thing …

They are called ND 1000000 or ND 5.0 and protect your professional camera from being damaged. You can only film full eclipse stage without them. And no, they are not available on Amazon either.

The solar eclipse glasses are available everywhere. I ordered on the weekend and will receive my order today.

Please send me a link to the product with delivery date before August 12.

An alternative is to get sheet ND filters and cut and stack them

Or Watch it on TV. This is your eye-sight. Not worth the risk.

Amazon has them - ordered one yesterday and was delivered today… still need to pick it up from the amazon locker

What are the parameters of the filters you have bought?

“K&F CONCEPT Nano-Xcel 52 mm ND100000 Filter for Solar and Eclipse Photography”

Ordered on amazon.it, next day delivery… and will pickup in Italy from the locker.

Seems to be similar to the one we were looking for on Amazon.de, just different size. The delivery was August 19 already this weekend (and is still August 19).

BTW the glasses are not delivered to me yet. The only delivered another item that I ordered with the glasses.
