Anybody else is getting these? I get a phone call from a landline in Switzerland and the call hangs up after 3-4 seconds. No sound from the other side. I get 2-3 a day sometimes and even by blocking that number the next one is just a different phone number ending.
I’ve installed Search.ch which checks if the phone is already in the spam database to block the number, but I guess as they change phone numbers constantly they are impossible to catch when new.
I’ve already put in few complaints at SECO, but I’ve heard nothing from them.
Anybody else gets this annoying thing? How do you deal with it and what the hell is the goal here, just to piss people off?
Even if I say hello or I stay quiet, the call hangs up after 3-4 seconds.
I started reporting each call via the online form on SECO’s webpage but I have not received any feedback if they actually do something.
SECO’s webpage states that if enough reports are received a company can be fined monetarily for the abuse but if that is the case why would anyone with a company would risk it and bother people so often.
If they are calling from another country there isn’t anything the Swiss can do about it. The real culprit is Swisscom and other network suppliers who sell the bandwidth to the culprits. Complain to them and threaten to move your account. Maybe, just maybe you will get some joy.
Phone numbers are Swiss land line phones, often from Neuchatel, Jura/Bienne/Biel and when I search this number on search.ch no info comes up.
Often they call me from a number after blocking it the next day they call me from the consecutive number
I have already complained to my operator and they have activated a spam shield plus advised me to install search.ch. But they say when a new number not in the spam database calls it can not be detected.
