Special needs support for English-speaking families

Hi, we are currently living in Canada and thinking of moving back to CH next spring or summer. I am wondering if there are any groups or schools in Switzerland specifically supporting English-speaking families with special needs kids, as I would like to approach them as a trained assistant for children with various challenges. I do not know if any/many of the international schools support any special needs, and if they do, what needs they support.

We hope to return to Canton Bern if possible, but the exact location doesn't matter too much.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

You might want to contact this organisaton

which helps with all kinds of special needs children.

The market segment you look at is particularly small, especially in Berne which is more government than expats. Maybe more of a demand in Zurich or Geneva, but for English only it will be difficult. A lot of people here speak 2 or 3 languages fluently and sufficiently well to be comfortable working in them.

Thanks for the allspecialkids link - now that you mention it, I think I have heard of this; I appreciate your feedback.

Thanks for this link. I'll inquire with them :-)
