We just moved here from the US and are wondering if our Swiss Insurance will cover our 3 year old son for English speech therapy. He is speech delayed and was taking speech therapy in the US for over a year. Our Canton is no longer providing English Speech therapy to children. So I am not wondering if we can submit his speech evaluation to our insurance to get it covered. Thanks!
Hello,
Best is to go and ask your sons Peaditrician. They should be able to help.
You'll need to go via a pediatrician and get a official referral, without this, they certainly will not pay !
^This.
Plus there would have to be a very real need for the speech therapy for a child of that age for them to agree to pay for it.
In my experience it may depend on the underlying condition. If your child has a recognised disability, insurance may pay for a while but AI may also be possible in addition to Canton therapy. First call is the pediatrician or any other specialists your child may have.
