Spital Bulach for birth

Does anybody has any experience of giving birth at Spital Bulach. Do they speak english?? We have basic health insurance and live near Eglisau.

Or if you have any recommendations for any hospital which is near in this area would be really helpful. Thank you.

Can ́t help you with that exactly, but I had an operation in that hospital and was happy with the care given. Nice doctors and great nursing staff, so from that perspective I can recommend that hospital

Maybe these webpages will help you find some answers: http://which-hospital.ch/ https://en.comparis.ch/spitalvergleich/default.aspx

Thanks for your reply @Roegner

Do the spoke in english with you?? I just read a very bad review online by a non German speaking mom who gave birth there. So very skeptical.

Thank you much @Th3Alchemist for the link.

From this search also looks like Bulach is the nearest Hospital near us but we are not able to find genuine experiences of people who gave birth there.

I do speak German but not Swizz German and would still prefer to have all discussions in English and also Pre-natal classes and all.

So if any body has any birth experiences in hospital Bulach please let us know. Would be very kind of you

I speak German and that was fuzzy due to the operation et al

No idea how good they can speak english, sorry

Our daughter was born there last Monday. We like the place. People are very nice and almost everybody we came across could speak English or tried to make an effort in another language.

The pregnancy of our oldest daughter was also followed up there, but five years ago, they didn't have a neonatology ward in Bülach, so she ended up being born in Winterthur. Also no complaints.

Our experience with hospitals in Switzerland has been very good so far, and Spital Bülach one of the best places we've been.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience @MAzevedo

So happy to know about your positive experience

Did you also see a gynecologist there for all your 9 month test and scan or only for delivery?

My wife was followed by the same gynaecologist most of the time. The problem/advantage with a hospital clinic is that they have several professionals there and when one is not available another will handle your appointments. We were usually followed by the same doctor, but there were times where she was not available and another colleague stepped in. You can still ask for an English speaking doctor - we got one time a doctor that didn't speak English, but as it was just a routine check, we managed with our poor German language skills.

So great to hear your first hand experience Thanks a lot for your time @MAzevedo

You really made things easy for us.

Have a great day!

Cheers
