It was wonderful! Easy to get to on public transportation (a must for us), the atmosphere was incredible. And the food amazing! We will definitely be going back! It's expensive but not that much more than we are used to paying for a great Steakhouse in CO.
Steak is probably my favorite dinner and what I have missed most since moving here in June. Last night we tried a place at the recommendation of some friends. A Swiss friend had taken several friends there from Texas. One of the Texans said it was the best steak he'd had outside of Texas. Now that's saying alot. So we decided to give it a try.
Goodman's is a great place, as others have said before.
If you’re looking for a slightly different experience than the traditional steakhouse, I'd also recommend charbonnade at La Cote (their entrecote is good, too):
highly recommend
We have been going to place for 5 1/2 years and take all our visitors there..
I went to the Churrasco in Lausanne and thought it was pretty great - none of the problems that others here have suggested.
There's also Cafe des Boucher in Lausanne, near the Prilly-Malley train station, which is fantastic.
If you are willing to concede on the CH part, and willing to drive just across the border to Austria (pretty much on the border), then I strongly recommend one of Europes best steak restaurants - Patagonia.
Just try it once, and you will have your new steakhouse to compare all other CH steakhouses to...
Haven't been here, but it looked like what a steakhouse is supposed to look like. http://www.beef-steakhouse.ch/steakhouse
