Steam Inhalation for laryngitis

yes!!!! i do that for my son but i don't love the taste of honey... not that it's delicious without it but it works for me.i forgot but i usually add the white part of scallions (new onions?) as per my dr.

I am better, thanks, folks, it does help and the fact I do drink a lot of luke warm herb teas throughout the day.

I did not want any woodoo magic, since that's exactly what I had last week, and of course it worked like a charm. Just had enough of diced onions with honey, garlic with honey and lemon...etc etc. My doc parents ganged up and fed me that, they swear by it, and it is far the best immuno booster for anything flu-virus-throat related. Just had enough of the taste, jaysus, it's potent.

I figured central heating sucks these days, it got better when I slept with wet hair actually, 2ft of wet hair humidified quite nicely. I don't have a cold anymore, no back nasal drop that usually kills my vocal chords since one coughs. But it pays off to inhale since it treats one's throat, cough, vocal chords and sinuses all at once. Yo.

Thanks, guys, inhalation is good. (No, I will not try nettipot. Prorhinel is annoying enough, it does block my ears though and it feels like it pushes germs there )

Great news! Which inhalation method worked best for you?

I had Olbas, it was nice and strong. I had Nasobol, also good. I put a few drops of herbal bath oils (some organic pure stuff) into it just to try, it was quite good, too. But just the heat relaxes, it is great.

Fantastic news - Olbas is always on our shopping list when we go to the UK. Take care.

love the olbas and hate the heating too my neighbors must think i'm crazy because when i'm home i keep the windows and back door open a looong time. but fresh cold air does wonders

Hi there!

Does anybody know where I can buy a steam inhaler in Zug/Zurich area? I tried some pharmacies but they don't sell it.

Really need it urgently..

Thank you all,

Gaby

This is what I use:

Think you can order it online

A large bowl of hot water and a towel over the head will do just as well, in an emergency.

BTW one 'miracle' remedy for colds (a few drops in hot water) and for inhalation too, is Carmol Tropfen/gouttes, initially made by monks in St Gallen with lots of medicinal herbs and alcohol. Expensive but it lasts for ages as you only use a few drops at a time. Great for stomach ailments too, and sea sickeness/vertigo.
