Does anyone know the best place to buy audio equipment in Switzerland?
Whether in the flesh in the Lausanne area or over the internet.
Digitec doesn't seem to stretch to cover this area.
It isn't mentioned in the title of this board but it seems most fitting here nonetheless....
I think audio visual factory is near Lausanne.

Not that I recommend them in any way whatsoever. I avoid Digitec a.k.a. Migros like the plague.
Media Markt/Saturn is as good a place as any to look, unless you're after a seriously high-end sound system. There's a Media Markt in Crissier.

High-end stuff is often sold secondhand at ridiculous discounts. Not a very liquid market I guess and audiophiles just have to make room for new toys ;-).
Get a modern DAC though, as there's a lot of progress in this area (asynchronous USB, ESS Sabre converter and so on).
Other than that, there's not such a lot of progress in speakers and amplifiers.
I'm thinking of selling a Denon AVR1611 receiver and a kenwood subwoofer, both about four years old. Not sure what you are looking for.
Check out galaxus ch ,the only problem is testing equipment out especially speakers, you HAVE TO hear them before buying.
