Visited a local restaurant today for fish knusperl
A very nice Nissan sport coupe parked outside, the driver got out, took off his pullover and used to polish parts of the bodywork that were less than perfect

I can hear OH’s toes curl. Nothing but pristine feather dusters will do, followed by a careful rinsing and drying of cars with soft clean cloths. If soaping is needed, it’s done with a chamois.
I am sure the pullover was cashmere or vicuna

There were loads of classic cars out and about today. Sun’s out, roads are dry so it’s safe to bring out your pride and joy without fear of getting it mucky.
Usually comments that are toxic gate-keeping BS full of hatred come from the car loving community, but indeed the car detailing one by far surpasses them in toxicity ![]()
Please buy your OH some microfiber towels, and throw away dusters and the dreadful chamois!
This has opprtunities for Nissan or JDM haters to ask if there are trully any nice Nissan sport coupes, but there are plenty as thankfully Nissan has always been there to provide relatively affordable, performant, and good looking cars.
But a pullover to do bodywork would indeed get the detailers out in droves with their pitchforks, or other their lovely (now cordless) dual-action polishers ![]()
Joking aside, I love it when people just show affection to their stuff, especially their cars. Even if the internet warriors consider it “wrong”, it’s just nice.
Did you look left and right? Maybe there was a camera…that explains everything.
