Stupid things kids do - catch fish and eat them raw

I thought he was a fussy eater? I’m starting to think he should not be left unsupervised :scream:

Apparently, after we told him it was dangerous to eat the fish raw and that he shouldn’t do it, he went and caught and ate more fish this morning. :man_facepalming:

I laughed way too loud at this.

Why? What for?

Generally I got the impression you should really feed your kids, you know!

He likely was still waiting for the Taiwanese street food to be delivered.

No worries, they seem to be perfectly capable of feeding themselves…
Now where is my cat?

This my new favorite thread, on EF or SF! Although I do hope the kids are okay and don’t get some sort of parasite.
Hang in there, Phil. You’ll enjoy telling these stories to their future partners.

Well, it seems the younger one has diarrhea. I might take them to the doctor tomorrow to see if they should take some tapeworm medicine.

I also asked how he managed to catch the fish since he had no net. Apparently, they used their baseball caps to catch the fish. Charles created some elaborate trap for the fish with his cap and channeled/chased the fish until they swam into his cap trap.

Maybe we should report you to the authorities?
Seaweed is mostly used as a garden fertiliser

Free Phil!!! although he wasn’t technically there.

The boy will go far.

You mean that’s Phil’s idea of how to make them grow up?

This gets worse:
Fishing without a permit
Blocking a public waterway
Eating pets, this might be OK on Tik Tok but it has to contravene some law or other
Make sure to take water with the silica gel, there are better ways to get roughage.

yep, it was in the article bossybaby linked further up, “last year” being 2014:
" In the U.K., you can actually face legal troubles by taking the “challenge." Last year, a 20-year-old from Suffolk was fined £200 and banned from owning animals for a year after a video surfaced showing him swallowing down two live goldfish. Both swimmers lived, however, after the kid threw them up. They now reportedly live a happy life with his grandmother, which is more than can be said of the hundreds of marine casualties of 1939."

And I STILL wonder why @Phil_MCR gave each kid a packet of seaweed?

The meds for my pet-fish had a warning-label that basically said “Do not use on fish that get eaten”.

It’s like those race-horses that ended up in lasagna. You don’t want to eat that meat…

Horse is great on the BBQ. I wonder, can you BBQ seaweed?

He probably couldn’t open the plastic packaging without help

Why? It is a snack. Although it doesn’t scream snack enjoyed by fussy eater.

Okay, finally got it, ha, good morning curley.
There was a silica gel pack in the seawead (yes I also thought it was a snack until Phil seemed to say not to eat it).

Practice your story in the mirror.
