Sushi in Geneva

Hello,

Where would you recommend to have sushi in Geneva?

Any good experiences?

Cheers,

karina

my personal fav is here... it's basically a japanese grocery store with a sushi counter at the back... plenty of table seating tho.

I agree with uchitomi, they have a restaurant in versoix.

another good sit-down SUSHI resto is sagano

for quality take-outs and order online:

never tried this, it looks expensive:

Sagano is excellent.. if a touch pricey.

Kotobuki or bust.

Uchino is very much loved by the Japanese people that I know. It's close to a grocery store that also has a name like Uchitomi's.

It's small, not much space so you need to reserve in advance, and even then it's not easy getting a seat there.

Miyako is a large restaurant with a very nice Tatami room underground. They have a generally high quality range of goods. Some occasionally find the staff a little snobby, but I think it's quite ok. It is expensive tho'.

Mikado is a grocery store which also does sushi's for take away. I'd go with this if you need to order large quantities and not get carried away paying hundreds and hundreds of francs in the process. You can eat Sushi on the spot there as well.

There's many more, I've probably tried every single Sushi capable restaurant in Geneva over the years... some came and went (such as Yamakawa which has fabulous Sashimi), others have remained here for a long time now.

Sansui is in Quartiere Les Grottes, about two minutes walk behind the station.

I used to live near by, and ate there fairly regularly and was always happy with the food and the service. It's also a nicer environment for an evening meal than some of the more "takeaway" style restaurants...
