SVA registration

Hello,

I am an employee but I also have a side job. Since with my side job I earned more than 2.300 CHF I need to register to SVA. I would like to ask for a couple of info:

- I read that I need more than 1 paid customer to register to SVA. What if I don't have more than one?

- If I manage to get another client but he/she pays me less than 2.300 CHF can I decide if I want to pay social insurance for it? I found this article unclear.

(I received some payments on my Revolut account because at the time I didn't have a Swiss bank account. Any of you did the same?)

Thank you.

Comments:

1. As you look for additional clients, you could:

a. try to register as secondary self-employed (Nebenberufliche Selbständigkeit) with just the one client, or

b. wait until you have a second or preferably a third client before you register with SVA, also as secondary self-employed.

2. No. As you are self-employed, the revenues would be added together for SVA social security purposes.
