I award the cold Swiss a big F.
They are I am telling you. Verdict is in after 20 years of living in German speaking part. Yes there are SOME exceptions but as a whole I give them a big F. Swiss please put your ultra detailed day planners to the side for a second. Learn to accept kindness and help from others without thinking that they want something in return.
Welcome to EF - from a cold Swiss...
Seems you are the failure! 20 years and you state what is clearly a lie and then this is your first post seems you havent even attempted to integrate especially to make such a baseless claim.
The vast majority of swiss I work and live with are lovely people and do not expect anything in return for being nice.
Married to a nice Swiss girl, speak the lingo, hunt cats and carry a big day planner. I think I am integrated enough.

Rejection hurts the ego. Learn to accept it as something that just wasn't meant to be. Just because someone is rejecting you, don't reject yourself.
I love internet.
Maybe the big day planner is a replacement for a fast car...
And just how long do you think you'll be here for? I give you no more that a few hours at this rate. Better luck next time.
I know it is politically correct to defend the Swiss for those living in this beautiful country, and certainly not ALL Swiss are cold, unfriendly or boring...but, as a 25 year veteran myself (and now technically also a "Swiss"), I have to agree. There is an in-bred psychological barrier that the "born and raised here" (German) Swiss have which basically has taught them to trust only those you already know, be wary of foreigners, and above all, reveal as little personal information about yourself as possible, lest it be used against you. Understandable for citizens of a very small country, and especially so if you spend your life living in or near the village you grew up in.
Don't use it then
This soo obviously a troll...
I'm sorry you feel this way. But after 20 years ... If I felt like this about anywhere, I certainly wouldn't stick around that long. Why stay? 20 years and you find EF just to post this
Some Swiss are cold - most of the ones I know are not, thank goodness.
and your a masochist. sorry for feeding the troll.
Yes, I agree. Life is too good to waste another 20 years being miserable!
Some folk just get divorced.
Bingo. So much of this is true.
It's all good.
It is almost winter, they will get warmer around April.
Pretty much works that way back in New England, too!
Must be why I love the place.
Tom
Huge thanks to the Swiss lady who pulled me off the street today - I had come within a whisker of being run over by a tram
So New Yorkers would be the ones not to trust? LOL
