Swiss Covid certificate in Canton ZH

I applied on the Zurich Kanton COVID website under the "Im Ausland Geimpfte" section. I uploaded our residency permit, passport and CDC vaccination card and within 2 weeks received an email with the certificate attached.

I am not sure why you received that message. I would try and make another application and see if that works? Or call the Zurich COVID Hotline: 0848 33 66 11. Good luck!

This is what I've done, so I'm glad to know we're on the right track. I'll try the telephone number, and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks so much, again!

It has been 18 days since I applied for the certificate adfter uploading my US vaccine card and still nothing. It is ridiculous

We were vaccinated in South Africa and only have a paper certificate as SA does not yet have QR codes. On arrival we emailed a copy of the certificate along with our ID's and 48 hours later received the code which we scanned and now have it on our phone. We emailed the cantonal health authority for Ticino, but understand this service is available on a national basis.

Hi Kiwiguy, Our certificate was delayed as well and I ended up calling the Zurich hotline: 0848 33 66 11. I think much depends upon the person who answers the hotline, but thankfully I had a very nice rep who said she would look into the delay. An hour later, I received an email with the certificate.

It may be worth the effort to give the Zurich hotline a try

Nice I also sent mine on 9 Sep and nothing yet. I'll try calling tomorrow.

I have done this twice, once for mine and once for my boss. (Canton Zurich)

In both cases, a fully operational Swiss Covid certificate arrived within 48 hours.

Because there's no Swiss/UK data link in place, I think they are just manually approving the certificate's digital signature.

However - I am pretty sure the certificate text is also being created manually (and is not being checked). The barcode works fully, recognised by the Swiss Covid Cert app, with all my details. But my printed certificate says I got the Cominarty vaccine (I didn't, AZ for me). And my boss's certificate says he was vaccinated in South Africa (Actually, UK)...

Now to try on behalf of the Lovely Missus, who does not have a Swiss permit, is not listed on mine, but is allowed to visit under the extended close relative rights.

Kind regards

Ian

so far I have called 3 times:

2 times I was hung up on

1 time I was transferred to department regarding the certificate, but nobody was manning the phone

You're doing better than me I get a spoken message and it cuts off. Tried about 3 times so far.

Got through to them and spoke to someone - no record of my application despite me having the email receipt from the website on 9 Sep.

So looks like start again or just wait until 6 Oct when I have my 3rd jab booked over here and get one then.

As of this week, you can go to the Amavita Apotheke in the Hbf Zürich and they will get you a certificate while you wait. My wife and I got ours yesterday, and we don't even have our Ausländerausweise yet. We just gave them our cards and US passports.

Do you know if thats just HBF or any other Amavita locations at all? Can't find any reference to it online.

Just done the same trick at Amavita HB with UK NHS certificate and passport to get instant Swiss cert.

There was a 30 chf charge but compared to the previous waiting almost 3 weeks and nothing from the canton website to try and get it was worth it anyday.

I did ask the guy if its just there or all Amavita locations and he was quite non-committal and said 'Not all stores can do it' but wouldn't confirm if my local Oerlikon one could have. So it's probably also worth calling your local one and checking as if they do other testing it's possible others can issue the cert too.

I would just go back online and apply again...

I think they have streamlined/automated the process a bit more since your earlier application. The "thank you" page I saw suggggested it might be several weeks until I got the cert, so for it to arrive in 48 hours was a (nice) surprise.

If you don't hear back in 2 days, then pay your 30 CHF at the pharmacy.

Kind regards

Ian
