The burnt side of the Rösti?

At the restaurant? I thought they’re sold at Coop?

And do.not.cook.them. Put them in the oven.
They are possibly packed one each, so if you’re on your own you can make just one or two.
You’re right, this freshly prepared one by one experience as in the restaurant you won’t have.
Yes, please report back.

Thanks but that scratches me as well.
Perhaps I just shouldn’t try to mix French and English.

In the article that Rosti posted their coop product is hand made at the restaurant, cooked for 3 minutes and quickly frozen, packaged and sent off to the shops.

At home 14 minutes at 220° in the Oven then down your neck.

Apparently, as I haven’t tried them yet.

that sounds good!
Just checked: Not available online. Too bad, I would have been tempted to buy them 99 franks worth (that’s the minimum amount, right?) - after you reported back they’re good of course.

These literally have five ingredients. Why can’t people just make them themselves?

It’s basically fried cheese on bread with a couple of other ingredients.

I used to make double-baked Gruyere souffles which are definitely a little bit more tricky to get right but still easy.

Here’s one recipe

People can make stuff which isn’t in Tiptopf. I won’t tell anyone.

True, but there are a number of neighbouring restaurants that claim they have the original recipe. Vinzel, Bursins even Eysin! But none of those are as good as the ones from Luins.
