Would any of the native schwiizerdütsch speakers here happen to know the words of a children's ditty or chant that begins "rä-gä-schirm..."? Some years ago I observed a few youngin's marching along as they recited it, and now I'm curious as to what they were saying.
i think i know which one you mean: und eis und zwei und drü und vier und foif und sechs und siebe-acht, en huet, en stock, en rägeschirm und vorwärts, rückwärts, sitwärts, marsch.
in english, while your walking: and one and two and three and four and five and six and seven-eight, a hat, a stick, an umbrella and forward, backwards, sideways, march.
Thanks — this could be the one, but without seeing/hearing it, I can't be sure. EastEnders' reminiscing sure brings to my mind what I saw the kids doing as they stomped along the sidewalk, even if it wasn't the same ditty.
