Swiss Mobile Phone Company List

Spusu covers what you mention for 10 per month. They have no minimum duration, no activation or number porting charge.

Yallo black offers really rock, but there’s a caveat, I started noticing network outages. I guess it’s too good and eventually their 5G network is saturating

I’ve got black start, which is just exactly what I need. I use only internet, can’t remember when was the last time I called a real number

Had a look at Spusu.ch but only get blurred pages

Might be due to their cookie popup, the actual page is blurred while it’s active. I can still scroll up/down the blurred page while it’s on. Try changing the scaling perhaps?

Or try find company with greater technical prowess.

As the say: PEBKAC

I would recommend Galaxus Mobile, I pay CH 19 a month for:

  • Unlimited national data
  • 5G Sunrise network (guarantee you receive the same service and priority as a Sunrise customer)
  • Unlimited phone calls and SMS in Switzerland
  • 1 GB data in EU/USA
  • 1 free esim for a companion tablet, Watch etc.. for first year (and then CHF 5 a month thereafter)
  • One month cancellation period
  • Seamless and free porting of your old number

Galaxus is an established Swiss brand and their dedicated mobile customer service is fast , efficient and Swiss based. I’ve been pretty happy so far and have not noticed much difference in reception to my previous Swisscom contract but YMMV.

Just started a subscription with them. They are using the Salt network.
12 GB and 100 minutes EU roaming included.

Disable the popup blocking. One has to manage or accept the cooky settings. EU regulations.

I don’t see a pop-up or anything else asking for cookie approval. And unblocking pop-ups doesn’t change anything.

Thanks, for my needs that one appears to be the best. Debating with myself if the International package at f10 more a month would be more cost effective than buying esim packages of data when we travel.

With GoMo you have:

Unlimited CH + unlim data in EU - 19.95.
Unlimited CH only - 12.95
Unlimited CH + 3GB EU - 14.95.

Free activation.

My son is starting school in the village next to ours and his daily commute will be easier with mobile. The family is with Swisscom and I just got off the phone with them:
They offer a Blue Kids at 50% off (since the household is there), i.e. 14.95/mo for

  • unlimited calls and texts in CH
  • 30min EU roaming
  • 30 SMS EU
  • 8GB data allowance (social media is ā€˜free’, as in not counted towards the 8GB)
  • 1GB EU roaming

Do you have recommendations to look at or personal experience to share and consider as alternatives to Swisscom?

As I wrote above, my kids have everything unlimited in CH and 3 GB Europe for this price.

If the package 12.95 was available at that moment, I would have better taken that package and combine it with BNE SIM with the non-expiring data packages outside Switzerland.

All depends on several factors. Coverage is the priority. Swisscom is known for having the best. Especially in the Alps. But the others are not far behind.

However, don’t quit understand how mobile can make one’s commute easier? IMO it makes it more dangerous. Ever watch the kids crossing the road on their way to school in the morning staring down at their phones.

A quick headsup for Twint users:

Another good offer is Lebara Mobile Next L on the Sunrise network.

For CHF 21 you get unlimited 5G data in CH, Europe, Canada and the USA.

They are a bit stingy on calls though so YMMV.

One can always setup an LSV. No extra charge.

It’s not about payment of the mobile bill.

Castro, may I ask if you are still happy with Galaxus? Any hiccups?

I’m interested in hearing from anyone who uses Galaxus… but especially from ex-Swisscom customers.

Thanks!
