There seems to be increasingly brazen attacks on museums.
With Gold at 4k/oz or over 100k CHF/kg, even small coins make a nice haul, if the whole thing doesn’t require a lot of time and effort (and bribes).
Maybe it would be better to display replica coins.
Maybe they do.
