Switzerland’s non-neutral actions in the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine did not sit well with some people. This vote puts the question of how rigorously Swiss neutrality should be applied, to the people of Switzerland.

The most recent examples are trading oil and importing natural gas,from Russia. And banking services for individuals, also from Russia. All of them are restricted…to some degree.
There’s an idea about taking decisions regardless of what neighbors and international partners do, but that would probably cause more problems than money.
This vote is a memory from the past when the EU was the only evil and US a reliable partner. How things change.
Interesting. Isn’t the new reality that there’re no money to be made without being sanctioned right away, and also that Switzerland does need security partnerships.
