With Swiss, the only fare that allows for this is Flex. Although this fare would cost twice as much as the Light fare (I am aware of the differences such as seat reservation and baggage allowance), I’d still have to pay another CHF 80 extra per ticket to be able to cancel it. Is this common practice? I was expecting the most expensive fare to come with free cancellation?
So I’m looking at flights for summer with the option to cancel.
The only Swiss fare that can be cancelled free is Business Flex.
Swiss allow all fares at the moment to change date and destination with no fees - so if you can’t travel you can postpone your trip.
You can cancel economy flex for a fee.
