That's what I'd have thought too[1], but I'm guessing that the OP wants something to convince him how well he's doing, how many calories he's burnt, etc. etc. A quick browse through the google play store shows a myriad of apps (and I'm sure there are iphone ones too) that must surely cover every possible variation one could want.
[1] Actually I wouldn't. I don't get this sort of approach to training at all. It's easy enough to remember if you've been to the gym this week, or if you've been a bit lazy and want to ramp up your training to make amends. I don't see why a detailed record would make it any more or less easy.
The reason I don't want to use a spread sheet is because I want to be able to have my training backed up etc etc that feels kind of ad hoc - BUT it would work
I'll have a look at the sites you gave as tips!
Also I'll update this thread if I find a new favorite!
Like most things related to physical training, because changes tend to be slow a log isn't of much immediate use, but it can be useful looking back over a period of time, both practically and in terms of motivation ("I used to run distance X at pace Y, now I run at Z, I've really improved", that kind of thing).
That's a really nice site, but what I'm looking for is a similar thing that allows me to just log the time I trained and what I trained...simple as possible...
Like I wrote earlier, most sites/apps are all sooooo advanced. You can input sets reps weight when exercise etc toooo advanced...
