Pick 10 companies you know, such as for example, Nestle, Roche etc and put them in the dummy portfolio and for 3 months track them and see how they react to world and local news, ECB talk etc.
Google "how to invest in the stock market for beginners" and you'll find a number of resources, not necessarily on the Swiss markets but the basics will be the same for whichever market you invest in.
Then decide if you want to be a buy and hold investor, or a trader and if you are looking for absolute or relative returns. You can also google these phrases.
Subscribe to fuw.ch, the domestic equivalent of the FT and WSJ.
If you prefer the occasional paper version you may want to avoid the typical Wednesday issue, all too often they're mostly fillers (except the first issues of a quarter).
