I only have a balcony with Geraniums.
0C is forecast tonight but my Geranium experience is they survive down to -5C so I hope my two week old Geraniums will survive OK.

@marton, be careful. They haven’t had time to produce lots of roots during only 2 weeks. You might want to move them close to the wall or cover them–cardboard will do.
We’re ok and the lowest it’s due to get down to is 4° so I think my geraniums will be fine. I can see snow up on the Jura though.
We had some hail, wind and lots of rain yesterday evening but fortunately no real damage and today is lovely and sunny albeit not very warm. I have my washing out drying on the line.
It has been a long time since I had a garden where I could do that.
Our washing is in the tumbler now, hanging washing on our balcony is a bit council estate. Sometimes we hang small things on a small dryer where they cannot be seen from the outside.
Check your village/town rules. Many allow it in the mornings only.
No rules here, I can hang it out when I like.
Damn cold today, I blame the Eisheiligen
@marton, dear, do catch up. See #1027, where each saint is blamed for each day. Servatius is the saint of tomorrow, when frost damage is likely. Certainly true here.
26C today, and 30+C until next Friday. Time to grill ![]()
Us or BBQ?
hahaha BBQ
Waiting for the first forum post complaining about how hot it is…
Naw, much too low. 29.7 at the moment, 34° on Monday.
I look forward to your post on Monday!
I just wondering where our pleasant spring-time temperatures went to. Last week we were lucky to have low to high teens, next week we be lucky if it doesn’t exceed 30°
It’s the beginning of the end!
Even up here in the hinterlands, the temps for Mon-Wed are 30, and the afternoons in this kind of weather often feature wind funneling up from the lowlands. Desiccating wind for the newly awakened plants in the flower garden, all covered with buds. Gunga Din brings water for the delicate ones; the rest will have the roots hose-soaked tomorrow morning.
Outdoor thermometer reading 31.9 at 18:49. If this keeps up we will have our first tropical night (not below 20°) tonight.
Really? Outdoor humidity is at 33%. I expect the temperature to drop once the sun goes down.
