Swisscom Phishing Email Alert

There is currently a fake email from Swisscom going around here with suspicious content.

Please DON’T click on the “Rechung einsehen” button, because it could download harmful codes or malicious software.

Delete this email immediately!

There is alot of german typos on it, and I just got one as well.

Just FYI for those whom might get it as well.

Thanks alohahw!

Also noticed that words with normally umlauted vowels are not umlauted, e.g., "möchten" is written "mochten", "tätigen" is written "tatigen", "persönlichen" is written "personlichen", "Grüsse" is written "Grusse". The scammer apparently doesn't have a German keyboard.

Thanks again!

Swisscom notifications come in 4 languages anyway: German, French, Italian and English. If the e-mail doesn’t have the message in all those languages it’s definitely spam.

My Swisscom notifications are in German only.

A security feature at the bottom of each real Swisscom email references an electronic signature:

Sicherheitshinweis:

Diese E-Mail von Swisscom ist signiert. Weitere Informationen zur elektronischen Signatur finden Sie unter: https://swisscom.ch/e-certificate . Geben Sie Ihre Sicherheitselemente niemals Dritten bekannt.

Today's scam email does not have this security reference.

Interesting - I got that too and wondered why it came in on the wrong email-address.

Didn't bother to look at the details as I'll see that in the e-banking. But thanks all the same.

Thanks Alohahw!

I'm curios if the "From:" field is forged, too, or reveals a stupid [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) ? ))

Swisscom sent me a real paper letter on Monday saying my internet speed was now (up to) 100Mb/s .. It was previous Crap Mb/s ..

I checked , it's exactly as crap as it was before..

Scammers...

I hope you haven't clicked on any links it that paper letter? ))

Have you power-cycled the router as they for sure suggested?
