T-cut

Does anyone know where I can get / order T Cut in Switzerland or the local equivelant, no one seems to have heard of it...

Thanks

Eli

Go into jumbo or any DIY shop, it's called T cut

Will have to check again as I have not seen it in Jumbo.

What do you want to try fix with t cut.

?

Just want to lift some minor scratches from a door of a car.

That what I have always used in UK.

Here it seems they go to a bodyshop and pay for this...

if there is no T Cut arround I will have to revert to the old fashioned way of a rag soaked in petrol. works almost as effectively.

Buy NIGRIN repair Tec. They sell this in Jumbo, pretty good.

Depends on what needs lifting - how much time you have - and how good you are.

Sonex products tend to be pretty good for the money.

Somewhere I have an electric polisher - but I would suggest not using T-cut with it!

cheers

SC

Thanks,

Will let you know how i get on...

Mer - gone from the days of dodgy geezers setting fire to mini bonnets at your local market (in blue bottles), to semi-profi product available from reputable stores and online sites (in the new-look black bottle).

I've used it since the '80s and picked up a litre in the summer from Halfords.

Amazon.de is probably your best bet, here.

Don't google Mer.de, though - 'cos that's French crap.

Ah you want tbe scratch remover paste and not the paint stripper liquid. Its in jumbo etc yellow and white tube from what I remember.

But TBH if trying to do scratches by hand.. hard work btw, the absolute best product you can get is autoglym super resin polish. Its loaded with fillers and achieves the visual results required.

But I wouldnt do scratches or swirls by hand anymore.

If its a metallic paint be careful not to go thru the clearcoat.

I looked for T cut for quite a while and couldn't find it, but I did find "Turtle wax scratch repair kit" in Co op Bau and Hobby, cleared the minor scratches on my metalic car and some scratches on my ordinary paint on the M/Cycle panniers.

Me too, thought I was going blind.
