Its a sick mentality. The house in this picture is really beautiful and they will be tearing it down to build apartment block. Sick! (Winzerstrasse)
Why maintain low density areas in a large city? It doesn’t make sense to have quarters of villas in a city and therefore blocks of flats in far away villages with all the infrastructure cost.
i guess that’s the effect of the voting several years ago, no? restricting massively what ’ historical land / landmarks’ are, they are forced to tear these down in order to preserve the forest area - which is protected…

this house is hardly in the city. Its near Frankental. Its these big property developers (inc Arabs) with lots of money who are destoying Zurich.
