Well worth it if you have children who are even remotely interested in science and life around them. Pretty much every exibit is about touching and trying things out, with handy guides of what to do and an explanation on the reverse in D/F/I/E.
Place for picnics, so you don't have to pay for restaurant food (which is also available).
Kept our 7, 5 and 4 year olds amused the whole day (and asleep for the return journey). For older children it would be even better as you can really get to grips with the science in a friendly and practical way.
We drove, but I believe that there are train connections too.
The yearly and half-yearly season tickets work out at incredibly good value if you end up going a few times in a year (which you could easily do).
The Faraday cage experiment show is great with lots of arcing electricity and loud bangs.
We were there a couple of weeks ago and they had a great, but temporary human body exhibition where you could measure your lung capacity, see which parts of your body were the hottest (embarrassing for some ladies) and stuff like that.
We also went a couple of years ago and our 11 year old at the time loved it.
Maybe it's time for a rerun visit. We made a weekend of it last time and I suspect we would do he same again as it's quite a hike from Neuchatel just for the day.
We've been loads of times with the kids but if we didn't have them with us, Technorama would be fairly low down on our list of places to visit or things to do.
