Galaxy S6 has leaked and wow, looks like a serious step back from the S5. Design is a blatant rip-off of the Iphone 5 and 6 (even more so than previous ones), non-removable battery, no MicroSD card slot, not waterproof.
I think they need a San Francisco design studio to establish some form of creativity because Korean phones are like Korean cars, designed by committee.
Users like you and me are in an uproar because they updated their phone to Android 4.4 KitKat, and now the SD card support has changed.
Apps no longer work, folks have problems with cameras and music players, and while everyone else is saying "Oh, yeah. That's how it works now," nobody warned them in advance before they grabbed that update.
For example, try to delete a photo on the SD card?
I am secretly cheering for Sony to quietly push a Z4 next to the M4 they announced this week (is it fair to say "announced" if a handful of blogs mentioned it between banners?). I want their MX230 sensor badly.
In other news, I'm secretly cheering for the Nokia/Sony merger rumors to happen. Feeling kinda "stuck" with my Z1: nothing better on the (android) camera phone front at the moment, and still keep fond memories of my early day Nokias... ah, the 6310i: forever battery and superb design and call quality... When does the Nokia embargo on producing phones expire, anyone know?
Personally I use my smartphone a *lot*, so an update every 12 months fits me well. You are either an automated script troll, or amish? Please click here and report back. This is a test. A Turing test . *pinch of dark sarcasm included, no intention to insult*
Looks even fuglier than the S5. Don't think they're going to win over a lot f people with that one. Anyway, I'm still fairly happy with my iPhone 6 Plus, but I'll look into the HTC M9 once it's out.
Gotta be worth a look. I push the HTC Ones a lot here, but as someone who picks up all of these phones as part of my job, the HTC always impresses with the hand feel, performance and just exquisite suitability as a smartphone. I'm still running an M7 as my personal device (it updated a few days ago to Lollipop) and I don't see anything except the M9 as my next upgrade.
Also pairs nicely with that flawed beauty, the Nexus 9.
Well, mine went missing a couple weeks ago so yeah I kinda do.
Back to my old HTC Desire in the meantime. It still makes calls, sends texts, functions as baby monitor. Needs a reboot after every Candy Crush session though so clearly not a long term solution.
