I'm more interested in the Tavistock/Beatles angle than one guy's homophobia. Maybe this was not the right article to post (there are others) but the questions remain. That is what I find interesting. There is no denying that the Beatles had a hell of an effect on the culture at the time.
I don't know much (or anything really) about the Tea Party, but aren't they an ultra-conservative group? Reading the drivel in your posted link certainly seems the sort of ideas that such groups might espouse.
What questions? They, and others. But the cultural changes had already started in the US a few years earlier with Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, etc. And the Beatles were already a huge phenomenon in England and Germany long before they hit the US, so the idea that they were in some way manufactured for the US is as laughable as any other conspiracy theory.
Well, I still regret not being able to get my record of "Ob la di ob la da" to play backwards ....... so I can hear the evil incantations contained therein.
