if I am not mistaken, there was accidental waste discharge into the limmat just recently. There was a news article on swissinfo.ch
As for the latter … well, should there be an initiative to make all such biodegradable (not only just those made from animal stomach lining). But I hear ya …

The sewerage plant is on the opposite side of where I was. And the current is strong enough that no shit would reach the other side. And anyhow that was days ago and so certainly not from the sewerage plant. And it got so close (like nearly into my mouth) that I could see it was fresh shit!!!
And the content. Maybe full of blood and AIDS etcetc. Disgusting these primates.
