The EV and hybrid thread

Audi’s hybrid is still a silly contraption.

VW/Audi have been naughty boys and kept their EVs’ performance figures below those of their ICE models since they started selling EVs. Even the soon-to-be-available iD GTI is wiped out by every Tesla model.
I’m keen to replace my Model Y with a European-built EV, but look at the efficiency and performance figures…

I’m very prone to paralysis by analysis and thats probably what led me to get a Tesla. A car with the right figures but about as much personality as a washing machine. Now I’m in the market for a “look back” car, regardless of how stupid it looks on paper.

If you’re prone to motion sickness don’t get an EV.

It’ll be the acceleration. Rather like people once said if you could travel faster than a horse you’d die…

…or possibly DO get one. From the same article:

Motion sickness doesn’t affect all EV passengers - many owners got in touch with BBC News to say they and their relatives don’t get sick in electric vehicles. Others said they felt less sick in EVs compared with traditional combustion engine cars.

Or to put it another way, the lack of consideration on the part of the driver to their passengers.

Just because many EVs have rapid acceleration doesn’t mean it should be used on every day journeys.
