It seems the accident was related to an over reliance on self driving, which we all know should never be fully trusted. It could be Xiaomi’s fault for inflating its claims of automation.
Regardless I fear there is a new generation of drivers who don’t have basic motoring skills e.g. not being alert/slowing down when you see signs for roadworks because the highway is no longer in a predictable configuration.
