I would love to put a bet on the Grand National but it is impossible to use any of the usual UK sites due to CH location. I can't find Grand National on the Swiss betting sites. Is it possible??

ITV have virtual national tonight based on computer algorythms.

Has been uncannily accurate in the 5 years since launched.

It looks like regulations have changed recently. I have a bet365 account and have the odd flutter on football games - most recently in the last few weeks. I was certainly able to bet on the Grand National last year, but cannot access the site today, not even with vpn.

I haven't been able to find any recent news that these sites have now been blocked.

I don't mind using a Swiss site if that's the issue, but can't seem to find any. Betting on the National is a family tradition, we don't bet on any other horse racing, so will be disappointed to miss out.

You need to choose your country and validate address etc. Switzerland is not included.

Yes, but it's not ideal. Sad that they allow citizens to waste their money on Swiss online casinos, but you cant put a bet on the grand national. China and Switzerland separated at birth.

Was awaiting this year's "virtual" race but had a good look at TV schedules and there are loads of links saying it is broadcast tonight race but all lead nowhere.

Anyway, my tip for tomorrow ...

Cloudy Glen 66/1 .. Love horses with "Cloudy" in the name...plus my lucky number for the odds.

The death toll continues to rise each year, claiming more lives. Since 2010, 36 horses have died at the GrandNational.

Yet Aintree is by no means the course with the most deaths. And there were no deaths during the 2020 meeting.

The Grand National meeting is a easy target for these people that’s all.

And in the Grand National race itself:

“There have been five fatalities from 395 runners in the 10 Grand Nationals raced since safety changes were introduced in 2012.”

I don’t have the figures for other big races, but I suspect that makes it one of the safest races there is atm.

The Grand National is just one race over the Aintree festival weekend, though. There have been 62 deaths since 2000.

I’m no animal rights activist but even I can see that is unacceptable by a long chalk.
